Let me ask, how many people keep a weight loss journal? No you say? In return you might ask, Why should I keep a weight loss journal? To be honest, it is almost imperative to keep track of your success, and the best way is through journaling.

Do you know how easy it is to “forget’ all the pain and suffering you have gone through to get to where you are now? What prompted you to start on your weight loss quest to begin with? Typically pain and suffering. That’s right. When you get to a point when you are no longer emotionally disturbed and distressed by your excess weight, then it’s critical that you keep your weight loss journal up-to-date. If not, it’s too easy to slide and revert back to your original bad habits… most of the time without you even realizing it!

How Much Water Should You Drink?

If you are like most people, you simply do NOT drink enough water during the day. Now the average person will drink liquids, but that is typically in the form of coffee, or soda or even some diet drinks… but that is not water!

Water is critical for your body to function properly. In fact, it is said that each person should consume their weight in ounces divided by 2, on a daily basis! In other words, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should be drinking 75 ounces… or 6.25 glasses of water (12 ounces glasses) each and every day!

Let us set the scene. You are watching your favorite program on the television and a commercial comes on. You see a gorgeous, well-proportioned woman claiming how easy it was for her to lose all her extra weight, getting her to look as fantastic as she does in this commercial. Of course you see her “before” picture, and right away you think how happy you would become if only YOU could look as good as she does. So you pay close attention to her story and to how she accomplished this seemingly impossible feat. You are amazed that she lost 50 pounds in only 6 weeks.

So right away, you think, “If she can do it, so can I.” You then proceed to write down the phone number or website of the product she is proclaiming has helped her accomplish this miracle. Now you visit the website and/or call the phone number and ask “How much?” After the initial shock wears off,

Choosing Bariatric Surgery (Gastric By-Pass) to Lose Weight?

I want to lose a lot of weight, but really have so many questions, plus the simple fact is, I’m afraid. Is Bariatric surgery the best way for me to lose weight? Many times people refer to the surgery as a gastric by-pass procedure, however, they are one in the same. Obviously there is not just one stock answer. Every person, being the individual that they are, needs to look at many different criteria. However, if you ask a hypnotist a question like that, you are inevitably looking for an answer you may not really wish to hear – especially if you are looking for someone to just agree with you. You would stand a much better chance getting someone to agree who has already had the surgery.

I have had people ask me that very question, and expecting me to say of course it’s OK. But having an informed mind on alternative modalities…

Is There Any Sugar Good For Me?

Is there any sugar good for me to eat? Well, the answer is not a simple yes or no. Plainly speaking, sugar is sugar is sugar. Your body does not know the difference between regular sugar vs. sugar from any of the carbohydrates that you eat, nor even the sugar from the many sweetening products that are out on the market. So that’s why I say, sugar is sugar is sugar!

Its how you consume the sugar that makes the difference… as well as what kind of sugar, too. Now, just because a product says it has no sugar, does not mean the sweetener is actually good for you. There are so many different kinds of sugars and make believe sugars available, that you truly need to become aware of their many dangers. Rebounding… Just what is Rebounding??? Am I rebounding from something? Well, in all actuality, you are! A rebounder is what many people call a mini-trampoline, so you are rebounding each time you touch back down onto the trampoline surface.

Besides being a lot of fun, rebounding is a great exercise too! Each time you jump up and land back down, you are moving your lymphatic system… which is a good thing. Now contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to have a vigorous workout on the rebounder. You can still get the same benefits from never having your feet leave the trampoline surface…
