Eggs are probably one of the most misunderstood foods around. Everyone and their brother has an opinion about eggs. Too much fat, one might say… bad for your cholesterol, someone else might offer. And then there is the question about how many eggs a week are “safe” for you to eat? Rubbish, Rubbish, Rubbish!
[For the record, the cholesterol in the eggs will NOT contribute to any increase in the cholesterol in your body. That is a different matter altogether!]
So few people are aware that eggs are probably one of the most complete foods in the world. Actually the protein and the fats in the egg complement each other to make it a whole food. Yes, that’s right… that Incredible, Edible Egg.
Eggs are truly one of nature’s “miracle foods” with each large egg sporting only 70 calories. Eggs are all-natural and jam-packed with so many nutrients. One egg has 13 essential vitamins and minerals ~ including Vitamin D, loads of the B vitamins, Vitamin E as well as Omega 3 fatty acids. Eggs also offer plenty of high-quality protein, unsaturated fats and antioxidants. WHEW! Is that enough good stuff for you all wrapped up in one small package?
Do yourself a favor and enjoy a hard-boiled egg or two when you are in the mood for a snack. Not only will it supply you with a great healthy snack, the protein and fat will allow you to feel satisfied and will “stay with you” much longer than any carbohydrate ever will. Then when it comes time for your actual meal, you won’t feel ravenous, actually eating only what you want instead of everything in sight. Sounds to me like a good start to keeping your weight loss moving in the right direction!

In my hypnosis practice I am frequently asked
“How Often Should I Weigh Myself?” If you ask 10 people, you are liable to get 10 different answers. Let me ask, do you weigh yourself every day? More than once a day?
My big question to you is WHY???
Are you aware that each time that you weigh yourself you will most likely NOT get the same answer. As you are trying to track your weight, wouldn’t that be a very confusing thing to deal with? What does that do to your confidence knowing that

Do you remember what you ate last night? Are you guilty of eating and not even realizing that you have? How many times have you had a plate of food in front of you, looked down at the clean plate, and had no idea what you ate, or worse yet, didn’t even remember eating? Do you get up in the middle of the night to eat and have no recollection of ever doing that? Wow! Lots of questions to ponder, but so important to be aware of too. So, do you consciously eat food?
Eating is something to be totally savored and enjoyed. Taking the time to truly realize the food experience can be quite a unique treat – especially for some people. In today’s fast-paced world, it has now become the norm to “eat on the run” instead of sitting down at the table to consume that food. The car is littered with fast food wrappers and who knows what else.

Do you constantly find that you make your weight loss efforts harder and more difficult than what they should be? Do you find that you thwart your efforts each and every time you turn around without knowing why? Well, you are not alone… in fact, many people do exactly the same thing without their awareness. Unfortunately, that syndrome is even more common than you might think.
In my hypnosis practice I have a sign visibly placed in every room in the office. It is a simple read, but it provokes a lot of thought. The sign has a picture of a colorful parachute and across the bottom it says: “Your Mind is Like a Parachute – It Only Works When it is Open“.

Puff ~~ Puff ~~ Puff ~~ Wow! I really should quit smoking… Puff ~~ Puff. But if I quit smoking, I just know I’ll gain weight! Puff ~~ Puff. Well, maybe after I finish this pack – THEN I’ll quit.
Hmmmm, Is this scenario familiar to you? Have you ever had the urge and desire to quit smoking but hesitated because you were afraid to gain weight? Unfortunately, this is a very common excuse! On the other hand, many people tend to use smoking as a weight loss or weight maintenance measure.
Georgine was a very pretty woman. She had a couple of pounds to lose, but it wasn’t much – only about 10 or 15 pounds. However, Georgine was also a smoker. She “wanted” to stop smoking, but was terrified at the prospect of putting on weight. In fact, she was so adamant and

Easter is just around the corner. Having fun as well as honoring the reason for this special holiday is sure to play a major part of Easter. Not only will there be many people gathering to participate at church, have get togethers, enjoy Easter egg hunts with the family, eating all the wonderful food for the gatherings as well as plenty of desserts too, but lots of candy, candy and more candy! So with all this candy, just how much of it will be chocolate? Actually quite a lot – and in so many different forms too!
Typically you will find the Easter baskets brimming with all kinds of sweets, and perhaps even some things that aren’t sweet as well. On occasion, however, there will be those people who shy away from chocolate because they feel it is “bad” for them. On the contrary, chocolate actually is a food, full of nutrition. The major problem is the sugar. Back in the “olden” days, when the “upper class” would enjoy their cups of chocolate, it was always made without sugar. Talk about bitter! Thankfully so much experimentation has gone into making chocolate taste fantastic, that it has become almost like a “religious experience” for some people.
Remember, the darker the chocolate, the better it is for you. It will just have less sugar and no milk solids in it. If you have a difficult time finding dark chocolate, then take a bite of baking chocolate. Not only will it satisfy any chocolate craving, but the lack of sugar will prevent you from overeating it. But as for eating this delicious delicacy for Easter, enjoy! But do remember that even too much of a good thing is overdoing it.

Does Tapping Really Work? And come to think of it… What IS Tapping? I’ve heard of the term, but really have no clue what it’s all about. Does it hurt?
Tapping is a wonderful tool that anyone can use to alleviate emotional issues and distress – typically within less than 5 minutes. The Tapping term that is frequently used is officially known as “EFT” or “Emotional Freedom Techniques”. Amazingly, the only tools you use are your fingers. No one touches you…
