Welcome to Ask Cynthia ~ The place where you can get your Weight Loss questions answered!
Hi! My name is Cynthia Fertal. Welcome to my Q & A page.
I am a Master Certified Hypnotherapist as well as a Certified Instructor. Hypnosis and CVR (Creative Visualization and Relaxation) have been my passion even before I professionally started my hypnosis practice in 1991. Although I have hypnotized thousands of people for many different reasons, I specialize in Weight Loss. With that in mind, I had wanted to give everyone the opportunity to get any and all of their weight loss questions answered, so please ask away.
Before you do, however, I just want to state that I am NOT a medical doctor. Any questions that are medically based need to be answered by your medical practitioner. Other than that, we are good to go.
Start by scrolling down to the comments block below. Then simply state your question in that box. I will be checking back frequently so your questions should easily be answered within 24 hours.
Please be aware that ALL comments are monitored. I will ONLY answer comments and questions that are pertaining to the subject of Weight Loss. Any trackbacks or affiliate links will instantly be removed. This is not the place for them. With that said, I look forward to answering your Weight Loss questions.
If you have an interest in doing hypnosis in the comfort of your own home, I will soon be offering a whole series on Weight Loss. Be sure to check back regularly so you too can benefit from the magic of hypnosis!
To your Healthy and Successful Weight Loss!

A friend wanted me to ask you a question about her weight.
She has just stopped smoking and has made it through the first 24 hours without too much of a problem.
The problem she is having is with hunger pangs plus an increased desire for coffee. She is worried that this will lead to her putting on weight especially as we are approaching the festive season too.
Can you provide some advice for me to pass on to her?
I enjoy a regular lunch of burger, fries and soda yet I know I should really lose a few pounds. Well quite a few really
What should I do to get my weight down?
Hi Tom,
Although there is nothing wrong with having a lunch of burgers, fries and soda on occasion, eating this food combination on a daily basis can be detrimental to your well being… in the form of weight gain. Why not consider only eating this lunch as a “treat” no more than once a week, as a reward of sorts for something you may have done well. This way you will appreciate it so much more!
Eating a balanced meal is very important for feeling better, gives you plenty of energy, and helps you lose those extra pounds you mentioned. Yes, it all works together! Although no one wants to hear it, exercise and drinking plenty of water is also very important in assisting you in the removal of excess weight.

Thanks for your question Tom.

Surely the best way to lose weight is just to eat less?
I mean skipping some food every day is gonna take the pounds off isnt it?
In some regards, eating less is a very true observation. However, for the most part, eating less to most people means not eating meals… i.e. skipping meals. Skipping meals will only serve to make you ravenous when you finally do decide to eat. You are much better off cutting back portions to a smaller amount. This way your body will not feel as if you are starving yourself and actually prevent you from losing the excess weight.

Thanks for your question Ian.
